Unprecedented Historic Achievement: It is the first time in U.S. military history that the U.S. Congress has elevated an animal, a dog, to national monument status by law, and the only National Monument featuring a current day combat dog handler.

Detailed Description: The bronze artwork features today’s military dog handler posing with the four primary military working dog breeds (left to right: Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, and Belgian Malinois with name plates). Each figure is hand crafted in meticulous detail and cast in pure silicon bronze, and finished in a rich multi-color patina by the Mussi Artworks Foundry in California.
